Basically get Beek in the same role he had when Ajax had their run in the Champions League, with the same rough set up around him.
So, you are literally suggesting we should build our team around him.

I truly believe in him...

Needs 20 starts.

Will not take any bullshit on his form, he lifted Everton when he played, if Erik is pairing him with de Jong, it's game over in that midfield...

It's insanity.

Everton have tabled a bid of 20m for Harry Winks.

Why haven't they attempted to sign Beek? Utd would snatch their hand off for 20m

Will get shown up next season when he is given a few games to prove how 'good' he is...

Using his goal for Everton when they got thumped 5-1 by arsenal is akin to saying how brilliant he played in that 4-1 defeat by watford

He did play well against Watford

Some of his through balls to Ronaldo opened up the entire game ...

You can have a good game and lose you know ?

How do you know they didn’t?

Ten hag’s going to need as many players who know the way he plays, as it would make it easier to get it through to the rest of the squad. He’d probably want at least a defender, midfielder and forward who knows his style. He’s on a hiding to nothing trying to get this squad to buy into his ideas otherwise. Unless de beek tells him differently about not being able to handle English football, I’m sure ten hag will want to have him around, at least for the next 6 months. .

Seems to me a lot of players who came up through the ajax system struggle when they move elsewhere. Trained all their life to play football a certain way and then join a club which plays differently. They never seem to get used by their new clubs the way ajax used them.

Because he wouldn't be here if they did.

No, never mentioned building any sort of team

That fat man with the big iPad the other day went through how Ajax played in their Champions League run under ETH. That was literally the position he played in. If we play in a similar style, then it would kind of make sense to play him where he had his best season under that same manager, using the players we also currently have at the squad.

Unless you think we've sold Ronaldo, Fernandes and Sancho in the last few weeks, and that I want to buy them back.

If it was any other manager I would say he deserves a chance and give him the season.

As it’s ETH , I expect VDB to be quite integral to the team in the coming season. Expectations of him just rose and you never know, maybe playing in a system that suits him with de jong behind him (or next to him) might just bring out the best in him

You’d think FDJ coming in would help him too. A manager and midfield partner that he knows.
