Sparky's header (57 seconds in)
My 1st derby at Maine Road was the 5-1 the year previous and as a 10 year old that was the lowest moment of my United supporting career to date. When my dad told me he'd got me a ticket to the above game I was reluctant to go because of what happened the previous year. For me this game was the real start of the Fergie years and of us never knowing when we were beaten. I was buzzing for weeks after it.
Blue moon. You started singing too soon...

Used to love a kind of aimless ball knocked up to him just to see him fight the defender off

He's sooooooooooooo strooong (c) Andy Gray

That goal against Roma is where I first properly thought £#%&! me, we've got the best player in the world who can actually do everything.

Scholes just pops it up and it he comes flying in out of nowhere like those cartoon slam dunks where they jump from the other side of the court.

Probably my favourite goal of his

Always loved a good headed goal from big Gordon.
Shame we can't seem to score any like this these days.

That second Eric one is a great shout. Love a good team goal with a great finish.

Team goals > solo goals & long range strikes

I was always a big fan of Eric's equaliser at Maine Road in the 92/93 season:

https://youtu.be/rfFSwd3Tjbg?t=544

9.04 seconds in.

I was also, very quietly, an admirer of Hinchcliffe's header in the 5-1 at Maine Road. Just headed in his stride - lovely stuff. @#%&!s.

Ah yes, I missed that in the 2 pages of posts I had to look through

Glad someone else notched that as a favourite - huge goal at the time.

Without risking a ban after lauding the Hinchcliffe goal, the Suarez effort against West Brom was pretty special.

Away at the Bernabeu in the European Cup.

One of those goals that seems to defy physics. The ball is arching slowly away from goal, and dips below head height, yet Van Basten not only generates his own ridiculous power from a nonsensical angle, but also arrows the header into the top corner.

The correct answer has to be Mark Robins vs Forest in the 1990 FA Cup 3rd round. Without that goal we'd probably never have seen such riches (allegedly).

Amazing header

It's amazing how much space Milan have to bring the ball up the pitch
Literally nobody pressing in a European Cup semi-final

Really is a different game these days
