The Scottish Player is the best of a bad lot when picking a holding midfielder for us. He
Matic would be easily the best if his legs weren't gone.
Fred can't tackle or keep the ball, same for Pogba.

Get rid of *any* three of them and get two decent midfielders in and we'd have title-challenging expectations.

We say this a lot. If we just had x we'd be better. But as soon as we solve x, y becomes a problem.

If we signed a couple of midfielders and still failed, we'd start complaining about the full backs.

A good manager would have this team competing.

Tbf lindelof passes forward which much more impotence than the other two. Tbh it might be worth trying as a defensive mid in a 3 man CM. Lindelofs weaknesses are probably his speed and strength. If he has two good CBS behind him he might be ok. He seems more comfortable on the ball than mcfred atleast
