It’s going to be so shit. One of the things that keeps the premier league competitive is that teams have to also compete to qualification spots. Once you take that away the premier league is just a long cup competition .

On any game week the team you are playing for more often than not is fighting for something. Be it 1st-6th or 16th-20th teams trying to avoid relegation .

I’d imagine it’s a threat to try and force UEFA to make sure the reform suits them.

That's almost certainly what it is. They've been doing it for 20 years and it works every time.

So no matter where they finish in the league the ‘big six’ will always be guaranteed European football?

The 32 teams group stage CL is too big already and needs to be slimmed down to what it was pre 2000.

They have taken out a 5bil loan from jp morgan...surely that means its real rather than a threat. Also the champs leagues new rules are coming out tomorrow, so no time to change that.

Even if the prem say we need to leave...if the clubs think they can make more money now or in the future just playing in the new league, they wont care.

If this means each club sells its own games via ppv, then the money will be better.

We're run by utter @#%&!s and people still go to games giving them money, so people are not going to lose interest/stop supporting their team.

FIFA saying that any club involved in this would be banned from every domestic, European & World competition & the players banned from representing their country.

Surely a European Super League could be sued for false advertising if it had Arsenal in it.
