Better late than never I suppose. There must be nothing more depressing than chasing a game, looking at the bench and seeing Lingard, Pereira, Dalot, Bailly, Chong and Pogba looking back.

Just seems off that two weeks ago with exactly the same squad of players people were saying the squad was shit and it was Woodward’s fault.

the attacking options in the forward line are shit....we still will rely heavily on Rashford, Martial and Greenwood. James and Ighalo have proven nothing really and still have to give Cavani time to find his feet.

Our midfield has options which is a blessing because that is typically where games are won or lost.

Two weeks ago we all said the defensive is a bit short and that is slightly still the case because of Telles and Axel. If those two guys can perform at the level they showed against PSG well then we won't be short defensively.

So there is depth and potential quality depth.....but still unproven and consistent

The GK hasn't made any match costing errors either which gives the defence a more solid feel.

Maybe having some proper competition for his place hasn't proved such a bad thing?

Could be but I'd like to see Henderson prove himself at PL and CL level for United before totally agreeing

They were excellent. Fred particularly. Now if we could just get something going forward from our full backs - Shaw with the assist - and some consistency from the front four the team, and shape, picks itself.

It’s too early for him to comment mate; they have an away game at Hartlepools today.

Sparky’s got him on alert notification though, so....

Fred has started 9 games this season in all competitions. 7 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss.

Him and The Scottish Player are not the greatest players, but we’re a better team with them in there. Simple as that, really .

Alas some people do not understand team dynamics and think fantasy football is the common sense and obvious path to building a real footballing team

I'd definitely take either of them in the team over Pogba. At leas you know Fred and The Scottish Player will put in a shift and get stuck in even if Fred sometimes couldn't pass a ball 2 yards!
