Does feel a bit sideways step for Memph, but he’s not back from an ACL tear yet.. (or not long back) a year or 2 at Dortmund might just prime him for a return to England or a move to Spain.

Always thought he was left footed and played on the right.

What's his best position?

He always played for city and England youth teams from the left coming in on his right foot to score goals

He’s mainly played wide right for Dortmund

He can play in either wide position but he’s probably better from the left however I expect it’s on the right where he would play for us (at least initially)

Sancho can play very effectively on the right. In fact, playing on the right will likely encourage him to stay wide, rather that cutting in like all our other attackers like to do.

I suspect Ole values a player that will give him numerous options, over a player that will simply play in one fixed position.

This is why Sancho is so important - he can realistically play in any of the front three positions, as can Greenwood, most probably.

We became quite predictable in the last few games of the season, and Sancho will allow us to have numerous options and switch tactics in attack. He will complete the set of 4 top-class attackers that Ole wants, which is a direct follow-on from a Fergie principle of having 4 top-class strikers in a squad.
