Gets all defensive when other people are just having a discussion.

Worse than you when someone mentions Rashford.

Some of his earlier stuff down the years has been pretty funny, such as when he picked his all-time United XI as a team largely made of players Fergie fell out with, but this latest stuff just comes across as try-hard and bitter.

He's a failed manager who is clearly eager to stay within the public eye, and his way of doing that is by coming out with controversial, overly-dramatic statements about a pensioner who has just recovered from a life-threatening brain haemorrhage.

He's in my top 3 United players ever, but it's sad to see him like this. Show a bit of class, ffs, Roy; he doesn't need to pander to the idiots that are entertained by this guff.
he's done a night for charity. he's done a similar thing all during his career.

For all his ways Keane is brilliant in them situations, he has everyone in the room hanging on his every word, he’s intelligent, funny and can tell a story. I’ve said before, he’d be a great bloke to have a pint with you would just be on constant edge wondering if he was going to glass you.

I think that Valencia experience has made him more stubborn when it should have humbled him a bit. It's like he went over there as someone who could do no wrong and came back six months later with his tail between his legs and since then he's on a mission to prove himself in other fields. Rather than someone who is just another pundit that failed to practice what he preached when he left the comfort of the studio.

Pundits take themselves too seriously these days anyway. A lot of them now prepare for it as a second career when their playing careers are winding down but how many "expert opinions" do you need? If I were a relatively successful ex player and got the chance of doing it, once in a while I'd say yes because it's a free ticket to watch a game and you get paid to do it but not every £#%&!ing week where you're forced to turn up because it's your job. Doing it as a regular job would kill my enthusiasm for the game because who the hell wants to be forced to sit through Burnley vs West Ham?

Keane's been very smart not being a full time pundit because the shock value he gives when he is on 3 or 4 times a season keeps his value high.

Si Ferry (ex Celtic player) has this story about Roy:

Quote:
"I was in the squad when Celtic beat Dunfermline 8-1 and Roy Keane played.

"We went down for supper at nine o'clock at night and Roy Keane was sitting with Tommy Burns, they were telling stories. It was brilliant sitting listening to them.

"So we finished supper about quarter to 10, get up to go back to the rooms.

We were walking up to the bedrooms and a woman comes over with her kid, quarter to 10 at night, and says: 'Roy, can my kid get a picture with you?'

"He absolutely stares at her - death stare. He said, 'what age is he?'

"She's like, 'oh he's nine'. He says: 'He should be in his bed, get him up to bed. No picture, he should be in his bed'.

"I was like that, 'wow'. Ruthless."
FFS.

What a man.
