I've just realised this is the end of young. Delightful scenes, congratulations all round.

Ooh ahh Cantona! They won't sing that here!

Didnt impress last night for the U-21's

Looked average going forward and shakey at times defensively

He’s been great all season tbf. His stats are excellent. Much better players than him have all had mares for England

Whoscored had him as the best defender in Europe at one point late in the season.

Yes there is the "United tax" but its also something else that points to us not being terribly well run.
Because of the way united want to structure the deals. 55m will be the headline figure for palace to boast about to their fans. We used to more or less pay everything up front as a plc. We now pay on the never, never and such deals are always more expensive.

It’s probably 40m with 15m in bonuses and we’re probably paying around 20m this summer.

An injury and his dream move is gone. I’d be worried if he wasn’t shakey and holding back.

This.

If this was city,we'd be complaining about them dropping £50m on an area they need improving without batting an eyelid.

And £55m? Yeah, it's expensive, but not in the current market. It's a sellers market.

You want the best young English talent. Cough up.

If he solves our RB problem, which is a huge weakness, then he's worth it.

I'd much rather we went down this route and the likes of Daniel James than the Bale, Sanchez route.

Keep De Gea, Get a new CB to partner Lindelof, two young full backs who are actually full backs.... suddenly the defence looks decent.

Just a midfielder, a winger, a striker, another midfielder, a whole new way of playing, a director of football, a new CEO and entirely new owners to go

Simon Stone is reliable, very reliable. Also a place journo is saying the same thing.
