Police said the suspects, aged between 21 and 37, were detained under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act as part of a planned operation.

They were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism.

The six arrested people are:
A 26-year-old man from Cambridge
A 21-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman both from Banbury, Oxfordshire
A 28-year-old man from Wolverhampton
A 26-year-old man from Leicester
A 24-year-old man from Stockport

West Midlands Police said the arrests were intelligence-led and carried out in conjunction with a number of other counter-terrorism units across England.

Yep. They do a great job.

Obviously mistakes will be made but they’ve stopped a number of attacks over the last couple of years. Hat doffed.

Be interesting to see what they were arrested for.

'...namely on suspicion of being a member of a proscribed organisation, National Action'.

The organisation was given 'terrorist' status last year, but based on the sketchy details given so far, can't tell if they were arrested just for continued participation in running the group or whether they were actually planning an event.
