They certainly don't seem to be busting a gut to get the players that will prove to be the foundation of a team to let a few years. Or if they are, they're doing it really £#%&!ing slowly. At 4 players a window, we should be somewhere near in 2022, by which time half of the @#%&!s Mourinho has signed will have been retired and had to be replaced
Well maybe doing it gradually is the only way? We saw what happened under the last manager when he went 'scorched earth' and got rid of 22 first team players and signed 11 over 2 transfer windows.

Not only did it leave us utterly bereft of any quality squad depth it meant we had half a new first team finding their way in the club at the same time, all trying to learn to play together. It was a disaster.

I'm not convinced that adding/changing another player or 2 would be a disaster tbph.

Probably not under Mourinho but it's very hard to challenge for things with so many new players cutting their teeth.

I think we can all see from the league tables what our problem has been since 2014. We don't score enough goals, it's that simple. The team doesn't carry enough of a goal threat and over the last 2 years in particular has shown a tendency to get desperate and panic when they're chasing the game.
