Why would Ashley Cole go on a sunbed?

Makes no sense.

I've also heard other versions of that dubai swimming pool story where people say it's peter crouch's missus and the retired footballer telling the story is jamie redknapp.

Here is the excerpt from the book

Quote:
A friend who used to play football with me years ago and has since retired told me a great story from when he was in Dubai at the One & Only resort. He and his wife had checked in at the same time as another player, who is now an England international, and his wife. You all know him, though his wife is probably more famous than him in certain circles. My friend, who, it has to be said, is a handsome *******, was sunning himself at one end of the swimming pool and he noticed the wife of the other player slip into the water at the far end. After he had caught her eye a couple of times she made a beeline for him. When she was close enough, she wrapped her legs around him. All the while, her husband was asleep on a sun lounger under a shady tree. My friend even brought out his mobile phone to show me a few of the picture messages she'd sent him after their return. Anyone who had taken a picture of the action in the pool would have made a fortune, and made four lives unbearable for a time.

You're confusing a sunbed and a sun lounger there pal.

Clancy could make sense, but she only married Crouch a couple of years ago.

Redknapp is a good shout for the swordsman, though I've always imagined it as Teddy Sheringham

Thumbs up

Stam:

United's analysts told SAF that Stam was making fewer tackles and thus was on the wane.

General consensus was that Stam was improving his positioning and anticipation and that tackling is becoming less important - SAF admitted he got that wrong.

Berbatov:

Pissed people off at Fulham.
Caused massive hassle so Fulham person rang good connection at OT for advice on how to deal with him.
Response?
"We sold him to Fulham"

Smalling - Rio? You may be right. Could it be a chelsea thing though? X player - Terry?

It's the clues he alludes to at the end.

Random mention of 'Comedy Store' (CS - Chris Smalling)

Random mention of 23 years later.... CS was 23 at the time.

Definitely him and Rio.

Disappointed in them both to be honest.
