Judge him in a couple of years. Once he's settled in and adapted to a different culture/style of football.

If he's still struggling then no doubt he'll be moved on but to say there's been an OTT reaction to one U21 game is an understatement. He walked off with the MOTM award against the Belgian seniors and rightly so.

I wouldn't get too worked up over a tournament which no one appears to want to be at either. And that includes some of the other hotly tipped starlets.

I think a few have got it back to front with the expected impact of Nani and Anderson.

It's Giggs and Scholes that need to carry the midfield for one more season allowing the 2 young lads to flit in and out of the side to get experience ready for a proper 2nd season.

I fully expect them both to look shit for periods before settling in for 2008/09.
