Default 3 wins gets us top 4

6 games left

Brighton (A)
West Ham (A)
Wolves (H)
Bournemouth (A)
Chelsea (H)
Fulham (H)

At least 12 from that lot
Welcome back Champions League football

The reality is that we probably only need 1 win as the others are going to drop quite a few points still.

It should make a massive difference for us in attracting players.

Very good first season for EtH.

Be nice if we can get a couple of wins in early so we can rest a few players and rotate if possible for the Cup Final.

Scouse are the outside dangers, would have been nice if they only drew the other today.

They've got:

Fulham (h)
Brentford (h)
Leicester (a)
Villa (h)
Southampton (a)

Can't see them winning all of those anyway so I reckon 7 points is easily enough for us.

Agree about Thursday, would take a point there.

Probably not, but then either will the teams below us so won't have any bearing.

Liverpool have the better run in on paper. Spurs and Villa are done. Brighton have a game in had over us, but still need to play Arsenal and Newcastle away, and City at home.

It's crucial. One game a week next season will be a huge advantage - look at Newcastle this year.

Hard to gauge what we’ll get because you never know which United is going to turn up.

Just keep going into each game with the intensity we showed against Villa and we’ll be grand. Avoiding the displays and halves of football where we seem to stop doing basics is what damages us. When we’re switched on, we’re very good and a match for anyone.

That Forest result and Spurs subsequent collapse had opened it right up for us.

I want us to get 3rd. We’re a much better team than Newcastle and the only reason we might not get above them will be freshness. If they had our season schedule they’d be about 8th.

Thursday will be tough. Said last week before spurs that if we can get 5 points from the next three, I’d be happy with that. It’s our most difficult run on paper.

Getting it done before the final week of the season would be great. Rest a few for the cup final.

The home games are the only ones you can say we’ll probably win.

Brighton will beat us comfortably
West Ham will be West Ham and probably get something off us.

For all the hand-wringing about how tired the team is etc., recent run of league results is up there with any other period of the season. 13 pts from the last 15, with the draw at a ground we wouldn't expect to win at probably. There's zero suggestion of anything to worry about.

The nature of Spurs result was a kick in the teeth, but the reaction to losing at Newcastle has been good.

Brentford 1-0
Everton 2-0
Forest 2-0
Spurs 2-2
Villa 1-0

13 points from 15 and 4 clean sheets with a makeshift back four and our star forward missing matches and not scoring in four.

We’ll likely have our dopey careless moments over 7 matches, but we should be able to get 10 points out of that lot. And that’s the maximum we need.

Don’t know if he’s going to the WC or not but having garnacho back Will be good. Firepower off the bench has been missed.

They’re fixtures you might worry about if we had them to come.

Our flaws and occasional tonkings have skewed what has been a very good season for us. We’ve been very good. Especially at home. Which is why we’re where we are and comfortably above some teams who were well above us in recent years.

We’re set for upwards of 70 points, which is a big improvement. If we continue the way we have all season, then we’ll be absolutely fine.

And yes, Garnacho back would be great. A really good impact sub for us this season.

Yep.

The expectations for United this season would have been getting into the top 4. That would have been EtH main objective.

To win us a cup and be in another final is huge. No one expected it, top 4 was always going to be tricky. So overall, despite some holocaust results, it's been a good season.

When was the last time we beat Brighton in 90 mins? How many teams in the top 10 have we beaten away from home this season?

Last season at home, 2-0

Hardly a 10 year drought is it? In fact, before the 4-0 and 2-1, they hadn't beaten us in any competition for over 5 years. Dry your @#%&! pal
