The midfield doesn't seem to work when Hargreaves plays does it?

him and Scholes first half simply didn't have any sort of impact whatsoever.

Anderson should be a started and arguably Carrick should be ahead of him too.

I should add, that this doesn't mean he hasn't had good games for us. Anfield he was superb.

But I think we're mixing it about too much and play a more settled midfield.

I like and appreciate what the guy has brought to us in tough away games like Arsenal and Liverpool but Spurs away? WHAT IS THE POINT?

Stupid to start both Scholes and Hargreaves. How many times have they played together? How fit is Scholes after 3 months out? Bit of an odd one tbh and in the end Fergie got away with it.

Anderson has to start every week now and Hargreaves has his use. Played well in a number of games this season, was poor today but then so was Scholes.

Hargreaves sits very deep which is fine and he's done very well for us on the whole so far this season, but scholes and carrick do the same meaning its problematic for them to play together, thus leaving anderson as the only one who really pushes forward.....

Carrick does everything Hargreaves does without running all over the place to do it and hes class with the ball. Scholes can no longer bomb forward like he used to which means we have 2 centre mids on our own half passing it sideways to each other. We had the same problem in the games v spurs and sunderland at OT earlier in the season, it just means we are easy to defend against and there is no one linking defence and attack. Carrick and/or anderson have to play for me

Hargo is our best DM.

Just because of that he should always play as long as he's fit and on form.

hargreaves runs and tackles.
he passes to the other team only doing do so so he can run after them and take it back.

we need more players like him trying to gain possesion and not silly footballers like carrick and anderson who can keep possesion.

hargreaves game would piss all over carrick's against teams that are battering us on possession.


that isn't very often so for most games carrick will offer more.

Yeah thats why we played our best football of the season on wednesday when they played together and played everyone off the park last season. Are you on smack?

Scholes wasn't all that today either, suicidal by Fergie to start to half fit midfielders in a game like this. He showed too much respect to spurs by starting Der Harg.

It was me, hes similar to Ferdinand in that respect, reads the game and is already there, whereas Hargeaves would be chasing it. I like Hargreaves but he does one job, plays deep in a 3/5 man midfield and breaks up play whilst others bomb forward. He will never work in a 4 man midfield.
