This is probably THE song that reminds me of my childhood, musically. I was a huge MJ fan as a kid, and still am to this day, although my love of him had diminuished somewhat with the "allegations". I had posters on my walls, all the cassettes, his autobiography -the lot. I used to listen to this track on my old Sony tape recorder and used to listen to every line before pausing it and writing it down. Once I had the whole song, I would then begin to sing it into the tape recorder and play it back to see if i sounded like him. I mean lets be honest, every kid has wanted to be Michael Jackson and I was no different - although allegations of child abuse are not things I would have wanted in life, let's be honest. A very cringeworthy memory but one that is cherished. I am sure the tape will surface one day - just hoping that you haven't managed to get your hands on it...

Interesting fact for you about this track Koppas - it is supposed to be a homage to his mentor Diana Ross....

If you met him when you were 12, would you have let him come on your face?

Not that you would have had a choice mind....

ha ha, maybe so.

Your 4th selection is the magnificent Soul II Soul track, "Keep On Movin'", from their Club Classics Vol 1 LP

A superb choice - tell us what memories this track evokes for you....
