Why was he not concerned by the practice of making gentleman's agreements for the last 12 years when they have been common in the Premier League. Andy Cole - Newcastle to United Gillespie - United to Newcastle Danny Murphy - Charlton to Spurs Robbie Savage - Birmingham to Blackburn Robbie Fowler - city to Liverpool All of these, and probably more, were subject to the same kind of agreement but only now he gets on his high-horse.
