I definitely got the impression that It had really fallen from what it once was.

It's a shame really as it was required reading during my later teenage years and throughout my twenties.

I was still getting it at this point until 2003/4 but I was managing a record shop so I had to know what was going down with the kids

The truth is, much of what I know about music came from reading the NME and Melody Maker.

I guess as I got older I got less interested in the band's they were covering. Not sure if that was me or them though, probably me.
