Thumbs up Van/vehicle trackers - advice

Mate of mine needs to get some trackers installed on his machinery he uses for work to provide proof the work has been completed - he works in the construction industry.

Does anyone use any of these for their line of work and can recommend anything?

I have a couple of trackers of my own used in my detective work but they are currently out in deployment.

How does a tracking report of a JCB going round a building site prove that the work was completed?

It's proving that the workers were on site when they say they were.

How does a tracker on a jcb prove this ?

Are they concerned with protecting the equipment or do they require time and attendance management ?

Specify and articulate what they actually asked for and i'll point you in the right direction

unless someone takes the tracker out of the vehicle and just walks around the site whilst the JCB is actually working somewhere else...

or you could get him to use an app like https://www.mymobileworkers.com/ - job report app that works out cheaper than a tracker and far superior

trackers mean nothing, only really useful if it gets nicked.

Do people still do that ? Like the Sopranos with so many "no show" and "no work" jobs ?

Pretty much this tbh

No JCBs involved.

Time and attendance. Being able to prove a vehicle was somewhere if requested alongside an invoice.
