Which is the best one to kick off with to someone whos never been near the stuff before ?

Excellent question.

I'd say a Dolcelatte, it's quite mild.

Aldi do two of these in their Specially Selected range and they are lovely. There’s a mild one, ranked 3 when the other is 6. Definitely a good place to start. St Agur is great also, soft so can be spread.
