Default Microsoft looking to buy Electronic Arts?

Lots of rumblings at the moment surrounding MS looking to make a 'major acquisition' to bolster the long term chances of its Xbox platform in the face of Sony's dominance.

It'll cost them $40 billion but for that they'll land themselves exclusive rights to the FIFA, Madden, NHL, Star Wars, Need For Speed, etc franchises and surely market dominance for its Xbox.

No way NFL and FIFA would accept their game being a single console exclusive, especially not XBox, plus the last 2 FIFA's have been dogshit anyway. Battlefront 2 got so much flak over microtransactions I'd be surprised if we see another EA Star Wars game for a while. Need for Speed is shite since they binned off the Shift series.
