Utter nonsense.

IF, or time restricted feeding, or whatever you want to call it, has an absolute plethora of physiological benefits, and not just related to 'losing weight'

https://www.foundmyfitness.com/episodes/satchin-round-2

The fast should ideally be around 16 hours, but you see benefits from 12, and like our Jack above, can go up to around 18. I hover around the 15 hour mark - from 8ish in the evening until 1ish the next day. IF is not taking a 24 hour or longer break from food from time to time.

If you're having massive energy crashes or feeling like shit, you've either enacted a massive calorie deficit too quickly, or your consumption during the re-feeding period is shitty. IF does not mean you can eat whatever you want during the feeding period, that's not the point. I'm hovering around the 10/11% BF range at a near constant weight, currently training around 5 times a week (a mixture of powerlifting and MMA) and have zero issues with energy because the nutritional value of the feeding period is correct.

(black) coffee and water are utterly essential during the fast period. Coffee is just about the best thermogenic fat burner that you can legally and easily consume, and has the added benefit of being an appetite supressant (as well as providing a boost to mood and energy in the mornings). Water, or rather staying hydrated, is also crucial during this period.

p.s. sorry for derailing the thread, bobby

That's vaping + fasting I've ridiculed and then done a complete 180 on this forum recently.

Open mind.
