Presume the main contractor has a plasterer in tow.
The beef is he did the first fix based on outside route so plastered - mind you itís only one wall to channel.

Going to stick to my guns and make them put it inside.

He came and chased out the wall (but hasn't done it deep enough)

Ever the decent client.

I lifted the kitchen floor (regretted shuttering it) took half a day to sort out only buggered one board and got a route for him.

He topped up and connected in a couple of hours max - so he had to do the work in the end. Sort of tradesman who never goes beyond the bare minimum. Plumber on the other hand has been a diamond.

Am now chasing the contractor to get the plastering done. Luckily final payment of 2k to cover snagging etc not yet paid so will get it done and deduct from that.

Overall
Contractor 4/10 ( had to chase all the time - though speedy with invoices)
Chippies 7/10 ( bit of finishing work scrappy)
Electrician 3/10 (Corner cutter)
Plumber 10/10 (supper efficient and decent cove)
Roofers 10/10 (worked during snow/driving rain)

Job 8/10

Need to sort out your subcontractor pre-qualification.

Also go for a two stage tender process etc
