Can't take Carragher's analysis too seriously when he talks as if he were Baresi. Chris Sutton's opinions have more value when talking about what it takes to win the title.

That said Carragher seems an easygoing fella....dare I say likable.

All quite correct, but even given that he is still one of the few that is actually bearable.

His accent alone makes me not want to listen & for me that alone makes him unbearable.

Don't mind him at all . He's knowledgeable and when he praises a team its geniunely measured and sincere . Rather listen to him , despite phlegm , than either p nev or Michael Owen any day . Two of the most boring @#%&!s on the planet .

Chris Sutton is the worlds biggest Abu . Bitter and twisted .

As usual Matthew Syed hits the nail on the head.

For a mercenary such as Mourinho, a man with scant understanding of loyalty to anything other than his own ego, to mock Scholes’s fidelity was an insult too far. It derided the very qualities that so endear the midfielder to so many in the game. It also rebounded upon Mourinho, for when a man with little decency insults one of the most decent men in football, the contrast is all too clear. As a servant to United, and as a human being, Mourinho is not fit to tie the bootlaces of Paul Scholes.

Think he won a lot of reds over when he called that United YouTube scammer 'fat Russell Crowe'.

A true friend of the club.

What would sports journalists write about if united didn’t exist?

If scholes was decent and loyal the manager of Manchester united would have had no reason to respond. And funnily enough he’d probably have the job at united he supposedly wants.

What? Scholes’s comments were entirely fair. Should he not say anything critical out of “loyalty”?

Nothing the class of 92 say about united is done in fairness. Mourinho knows the game even if some fans are blind to it.

Where was scholes’ fair comments about the glazer ownership, or Rooney stinking the place out? Would he be as critical and fair if his mate giggs was manager?
