Trad AF this year:

Breakfast: Bacon butties and Bucks Fizz

Main (around 2pm):
Prawn cocktail starter

Turkey Crown (got a massive one)
Roast Spuds, parsnips and carrots. Spiced red cabbage. Sprouts. Home made stuffing balls. Mash with cheese crust. Fancy gravy. Pigs in blankets

Christmas pud with double courvoisier cream. Mince pies and gingerbread topped mince pies with brandy butter. Iced fruit cake

Selection of cheeses from Cheese Hamlet, water biscuits and ''tracklements'

Booze: Assorted mix of Wychwood Brewery and Well's Brewery ales throughout and wines/fizz for the meal.

Christmas isn't Christmas without champagne / Bucks fizz in the morning

At the Mrs's mums this year so expecting some exceptional grub, Turkey, roasters, special request for yorkies has gone in, all the veg and the most amazing gravy ever !

Cant wait - i don't even do the washing up

We are having 12 round for Boxing Day.

King prawn/smoked salmon starter

Joints:

Sirloin
Rump
Gammon

Puds:

Traditional Christmas cake
2 x Heston over-engineered cakes


Cheese board, walnuts, grapes, figs etc

3 different vintage ports plus a rose port monstrosity for the ladies.



£5 lucky dip bet on the KG for each guest - so i've got an excuse to watch it.

Christmas brekkie: Staffordshire oatcakes (cheese, bacon, sausage filling).

Christmas lunch: Hyderabadi sheekh kebab starter, Shahi Rani Murgh main & warm Gulab Jumun for dessert.

No-one can cook an Christmas dinner as good as my Mum. Sadly, with her illnesses this year, she doesn't feel up to doing it, so she wants to eat out & she wants to go to the Indian. I reckon she's bloody well earned that right.

Boxing Day, I'm cooking a traditional turkey lunch for me & the kids.

Nothing wrong with a LIGHT starter, tbh.

A few years ago I had smoked salmon and beetroot, though - it was nice but still a bad move. Only time that I didn't manage to finish the actual dinner in living memory
