Read a book years ago, Occupational Hazards, by this guy who went to work in Iraq after the invasion, and they were warned if they were caught, expect to be raped.

Has happened in conflict zones/political struggles etc since forever. I'm surprised it isn't common knowledge

Very common in central Africa where warlords use it as a punishment for enemy prisoners

Saw a documentary where the Afghan tribal leaders working with the Brits were all f***ing young boys. More a perk of the job there though. The British soldiers were outraged but couldn't do a thing
