Default Meat Eaters

there's enough of the veggie saps, let's chat hot meat in your mouth.

This week is some kind of 'game' meat week here

yesterday i had a boar steak. It was f***ing lovely.

today I ate one of these w****rs

Don't even know what it is.

f***ing gorgeous meat though. Rich sauce with crispy potato pancakes.

Really like game meat tbh

Wild boar is delicious nqat.

I had dinner at a veggie friends house on Friday, it was nice and everything but I was craving a bacon sarnie on Saturday morning.

In short, meat is great.

Dinner?

Or tea?

Had me dinner with a vegan a few weeks back, he ordered an all day vegan breakfast, genuinely felt sorry for him

1. Dinner - it was in Soho so definitely dinner

2. I was with you, tbf it didn't look too bad but obviously I wouldn't order it when there's bacon, sausages and black pudding available

had a few friends go veggie in last couple of years. and some veggie restaurants are opened up near us so we got dragged along.

it's ok but essentially it's a compromise for someone else's benefit. I would never ask for one of those meals if I had a choice of normal dishes.

Long story short these people are a burden.

Went to a posh veggie restaurant once....greens in west didsbury....work colleagues 40th birthday do, her choice, so we went along

Like you said, it's no better than ok. Would honestly have preferred a hollands steak pie from the chippy

" ooh but that restaurant is owned by the world famous veggie chef Simon rimmer, the food is just divine, it must be your philistine council estate taste buds that didn't appreciate the textures and flavour"

f*** off

It's the season for game or "wild" as they call it here. Boar and deer are traditional. We maintain a lot of wild forest for such a small country which encourages larger populations of these animals, which are then culled for the table.

yeah the father in law does it up north. anytime i go up there (as little as possible), the meat is game. Rabbit, deer, wild boar. All year. It's delicious.
Wouldn't mind going on a hunt tbh. Better than buying factory farmed meat.

I'm more or less meat free, so am enjoying it way more when I have it (butchers meat, obvs)

I accidentally had a bit of smoked bacon on Saturday on a Mac Cheese, delicious meat
