Scariest bit is that a lot of the resistance is coming from antibiotics in the food chain

China and India could be facing TB epidemics

Basically sending ourselves back to the 19th century
was watchin some report that said antibiotics are dished out like sweets in HK.

supposedly you can get them over the counter?

regarding the food chain, the EU has it banned (fascists), but if diseases develop in asia that are resistant to a antibiotics, couldn't those diseases then travel to Europe anyway?

Worst part of being In a private health care country. They give you antibiotics here while you're describing your symptoms. When I gave up smoking on Champix a few years back, I had an allergic reaction and my tongue swelled up. Went to a&e as a precaution and they'd hooked me up to an IV within minutes. They closed the curtain around the bed and I heard the doctor say to the nurse "keep him here as long as possible, he's got good insurance"

Jesus. That is gross.

One good thing about Chechnya is the health system.
A bit rickety but very well run, efficient and very cheap.
Costs nothing for me to see the gp and usually they are very thorough. Emergency room waiting times can vary from 5-20 minutes for everyone.
