Default antibiotics / super bugs

are you worried?

i'm avoiding antibiotics a bit. last thing i need right now is a super bug. You can lose your fingers from the mrsa i heard.

anyway, any plans for the weekend?

When I had TB, the nurse told me there was a chance it could be a strain that was resistant to the prescribed drugs I was on (12-13 pills a DAY for the first 3 months).
I asked her what that meant for me if it was the case.
'Trouble'.

Need to sort out phage therapy re the antibiotic issue. You Eastern Europeans are ahead of the curve here I believe?

no idea mate.

i don't get prescribed anti biotics as much as i used to at home though. Not even close but maybe at home they have slowed down.

I'd get prescribed antibiotics for a cold when I just went to get a docs note at home

Went to a doctor who prescribed them to my then 2 year old for a viral infection. Pretty much called her a f***ing idiot and walked out

Scariest bit is that a lot of the resistance is coming from antibiotics in the food chain

China and India could be facing TB epidemics

Basically sending ourselves back to the 19th century
