Cos it's ultimately totally futile and self serving . Would be far better if people adopted a grand parent and actually did some good whilst they were alive . Rather than attending a funeral and making themselves feel better about having done f*** all when they were alive . Hypocrites IMHO .

Love a funeral the oirish, love em so they do, whether they knew the person who died or not. My old man was a c*** for it, any deceased within a ten mile radius was fair game for the attentions of the death cult. Moving over here I see exactly where he got it from, paying your respects, seen people slagging someone to the hilt one day and chief mourning them the following week

Just got back. What should have been a dignified send-off for old John-Joe turned into a holy show thanks to an unnamed Fredster (Stoney) turning up. He was a bit under the weather, couldn't even walk properly so we traveled in true Irish style by horse and cart. We don't know what was wrong with him. Had an awful thirst too.....

And emotional. Couldn't see through the tears....

Had to drop him off at A&E...

Despite emergency surgery and severe concussion he was undeterred, and determined to make JJ's burial made a hasty escape....

He managed to flag down Sparky outside the hospital ground and made it just in the nick of time. But to the wrong funeral unfortunately....

However he soldiered on, battling the wilderness of the labyrinthine cemetery to see JJ committed to the earth. A bit too determined in his haste however....

But would you adam and eve it, JJ the crafty old bugger was pulling a sly one all along. Wasn't even dead. Just concocted a c**k and bull story to do a permanent runner from his old battleaxe of a missus before things went too far and he realised he was being buried alive!

This is the last we saw of Stoney.

His whereabouts are currently unknown

Disgraceful scenes, it must be said. If old John-Joe was really dead he'd be spinning in his grave now, nqat

Was looking for that story about the bloke who will come to your funeral and cry for a fee and found this.
