Default Fellaini: a reappraisal?

is it time to reassess his importance to us? been here four years now and held in high esteem by three different managers; damned by his association with moyes, indeed, but he's scored in two cup semis, chinned a couple of berts and took us back into europe at palace in 2015. also, as we saw in the super cup, there is something to be said for the fact that more sophisticated teams simply have no idea how to handle him.

i must confess that i retain a strange admiration for him as the antithesis of anything approaching grace and skill in the game. pure footballing nihilism with an afro.

Can't stand the c***.

Mourinho is making him effective but I'd rather he was nowhere near the team.

He's been an important part of the most boring United teams in my lifetime

One of the best players I've ever seen in my time.

As good as Messi tbh.

He could score ten hat tricks this season and I'd probably still groan if I saw his name on the team sheet. Will never warm to him, just an ugly footballer who should never have been bought in the first place. Not the kind of player I want to see in a United shirt.

Souness has just criticised him as being "a bit of a thug".

He will forever be irrevocably associated with the manager who bought him (for a vastly inflated fee)

Not fair maybe, but lots of things aren't.

When does the Chinese window open? Sell him while his stock is high
