What about Evra and Heinze?

And wasn't Rio booked last night? Same rules apply?

What a nonsense rule. It should be at least 3 bookings.

Oh, and any Bayern or AC Milan players just one booking away from suspension.

I'm sure most clubs have the same problems. Essien's out for Chelsea's first lef isn't he?

I think you may well be right. With no Vidic, that could be a bit dicey.

4-0 first leg. Rio, Scholes and Ronaldo all kick the ball away one after the other.

if the lads who are on yellows start worrying about missing the final because of a second yellow we are as good as f***ed
if they have to sacrifice their final place in the name of the team winning so be it .
even if it means hacking someone down who is a threat to out goal i cant see ac or bayern players shirking out of challenges (in the fear of missing the final).
we need 11 people with roy keanes attitude out there if we are to win it will be no place for shirkers

This should be one of the first things Platini gets rid of for next season. The yellow card is supposed to be a device to warn players during a game and to keep everyone in line without losing any players from the match.

Players missing finals for two yellow cards across five or six games is absurd.

It is a f***ing joke. Especially as in modern football you can get booked for practically nothing.

Imagine if we got to the final but Ronaldo missed out because he was alleged to have 'kicked the ball away' or something equally as trivial.

Blatter, Platini & co hate football & footballers. They love to punish, ban, fine, tamper with rules etc..

Players should not miss football matches unless they have commited a particuarly bad foul.

You just know for a fact that if we were lucky enough to make the final this year, that we would have a great player missing thanks to a purile suspension..

Spot on. 100%.

The rules in football regarding 'cautions' are an utter joke.
