The World at War is an obvious one - stands up incredibly well nearly four decades on

The BBC did some fine history documentaries in the 1990s:

One on the Nazis (mostly well known stuff but done grippingly well) and an even better series on the WW2 Eastern Front

Plus, dealing with more recent history - Cold War (what it says on the tin) and the Death of Yugoslavia (especially useful for rebutting rabidly Serbophile bullshit artists)

one where it shows what would happen if all humans dissapeared from earth and how after however many years it would slowly revert to natural landscapes, it was on discovery

one about how muhammad ali was a massive c*** to joe frazier calling him an uncle tom etc

'Civilisation: A Personal View by Kenneth Clark' was released on Blu Ray by the BBC a while back and is definitely worth getting hold of. On a similar theme, the beeb's recent 'Ancient Worlds' was excellent too.

I've watched 'Winning Time: Reggie Miller vs The New York Knicks' a couple of times now, f***ing brilliant:

Reggie's a top wum

Never go anywhere near Reusch. Overpriced and ugly.

Well, the physical stuff they do isn't fake. The results are predetermined though, right? So it's real as a spectacle, fake as a contest.

'Big River Man' was excellent I thought.
