I'd add "More Than A Game". The story of basketball player LeBron James & his rise through the ranks, basically played with his mates & they all went to the same college. Bit like a basketball Stand By Me.

I'm so f**king tired I can't think of anything else off the top of my head that I have seen recently not already mentioned.

hoop dreams is incredible, have it on an old vhs, also when we were kings, and the documentary on apocalypse now, hearts of darkness, is a belter.

the filth and the fury is a brilliant music documentary, probably best i've seen.

High School. Dunno what his mates did after that, but LeBron wants straight to Cleveland Cavaliers

That was it, they could have split & gone to varying high schools instead they all stayed together, including the 4 foot midget, was quality. Loads of old footage. Definitely recommend it.

The World At War series left a hell of an impression on me when I was a kid. Watching it again makes you appreciate what an accomplishment it was.
