Default Can vacuum packing make things heavier

Trying to pack large quantities of stuff into suitcases and avoid weight limits. Bought these space bags from argos and I could swear while obv cutting down on bulk it's making the stuff heavier on the scales.

Don't think it takes away the weight, but it does create more room, I saw it on the one show.

Not helpful.

It's great for space but really, could swear it adds to weight which is ridiculous as the air is removed.

It reduces the surface area increasing the density, so although the mass remains the same the force due to gravity per sq centimetre increases, thus if may feel heavier in your hands.

Kind of. Not really for me a friend is emigrating helping them pack as much as possible to get through the ridiculous luggage check in. It's about 15 snots for every kg over weight. Which is objectional imo.
