Default United and Liverpool to join forces in US protest

Manchester United*and Liverpool fans plan to stun the football world by launching an 'unholy alliance' at Old Trafford next month.

In a move that until recently would have been unthinkable, United supporters and their Anfield rivals are set to put aside years of bitter hostility to launch a joint protest against their respective American owners.

It's not a nice idea, no. But a unified front would be a very powerful image.

As someone else said: better to put rivalries aside for a brief time for the greater good, rather than end in a situation of having no rivalry at all.

Fair points, its because its such a vile thought that it is such a powerful image. But still,

I got (rightly) abused for this idea when I suggested it was one of the 'options' at that meeting a few weeks back

As kev said - fuck them, they bent over and took it quite happily with added lube from their lot, and it has very little to do with our predicament. They're now happy to jump into bed with our protest because it is so much more visible than theirs.

It may smack slightly of cutting the nose off to spite the face off but why the fuck should they be allowed to piggyback our efforts?
