Default Under-19s vow to 'win it for Bobby'

U-19s on brink of claiming title

Victory "would be a great tribute to him'

The England Under-19 captain Jason Steele hopes victory in tomorrow night's European Championships final will provide a fitting tribute to former England manager Sir Bobby Robson.

England's youngsters are on the brink of a first continental Under-19 title after their 31 win against France in the semi-finals, with hosts Ukraine all that stand between them and silverware.

The Middlesbrough goalkeeper Steele believes a win would be the ideal way to honour Sir Bobby's memory. "He's a legend," Steele said. "If we can win the tournament, it will be a great tribute to him and will be great for the country.

"Ukraine will have a full stadium and will be playing in front of passionate supporters. But all we have to do is play our game and hopefully it will pan out for us. We've obviously got to be confident we're growing and getting stronger."
