Default This is the official

welcoming thread. I hope you enjoyed your glass of water and celery dips on the way in.

T'other thread is for the starting weights/heights.

Tbph - I don't expect to lose much height but I reckon I will get some weight off.

I honestly suggest that we treat this as seriously as we can. Obviously, as many amusing pictures/jokes as possible will be encouraged but the fundamental reason behind this is important.

There is a correlation between being overweight and various illnesses/diseases - I think we should all try and get ourselves to a 'healthy' weight and in good shape.

So - how do we go about it?

All suggestions welcome but as a starter, I think we need to do the difficult and painful thing. We need to record our starting points, our aims and (ideally) a photo of how fat we are. I'll do mine over the weekend and we should record it on a regularly updated thread.

Tips, motivations, health snippets - all available here.

I'll also try and persuade my wife to impart some medical knowledge if need be.

So, let's go for it lads. Good luck

Me too.

Like nothing more than some food me

Going to do this seriously - Monday morning weigh ins, noted on here.

I also am thinking of an exercise thread, to document how we are progressing on that too.

Stay strong HNH - one day, I'll buy you a Britvic Orange in town
