Thumbs up Welcome to Fredster Fat Club

Seriously, welcome.

I honestly suggest that we treat this as seriously as we can. Obviously, as many amusing pictures/jokes as possible will be encouraged but the fundamental reason behind this is important.

There is a correlation between being overweight and various illnesses/diseases - I think we should all try and get ourselves to a 'healthy' weight and in good shape.

So - how do we go about it?

All suggestions welcome but as a starter, I think we need to do the difficult and painful thing. We need to record our starting points, our aims and (ideally) a photo of how fat we are. I'll do mine over the weekend and we should record it on a regularly updated thread.

Tips, motivations, health snippets - all available here.

I'll also try and persuade my wife to impart some medical knowledge if need be.

So, let's go for it lads. Good luck

Is everybody up for declaring their weight and their target weight with a weekly weigh in?

Either a Monday morning or a Friday morning.

Anyway I will get the ball rolling. This morning I weighed 13st 12lb and my initial target is 12st 12 lb then see how I look/feel.

Who's next.

Do we need a special thread for starting weights ?

Also, we should specify height as well.

Ooops just seen the post above,

Ok, I'm 1.75 metres tall and I currently weight 113 kilos

My target weight is 95 kilos as then I look like Rocky
