This would allow for protective measures in terms of regulation and governance. Freedom of movement could be one issue but the central point is around ownership and then the transmission of matches.
Is correct. Football has always had, and will no doubt continue to have, rules in place to regulate the movement of players, particularly in regards to participation in its competitions, as I said.

Completely agree with your emphasis on the emboldened bit as well.

Most MPs will back most questions asked by constituents.
Thy are there to represent their voters and backing them leads to PR and future votes.
MPs also get paid for every letter they address, so its in their financial interests to reply.
The problems you have are when it comes to passing motions and needing support from a majority of MP's.

It is worth noting that Platini's sentiments, as presented in borsuk's letter, regarding the protection of the football as part of the local community model have also been aired by none other than Mr S Blatter from time to time in recent years. No links, but I've heard or read him mentioning the same a fair few times.

My MP also asked a question in the house about it and has attended meetings too. If you look at the safe standing campaign, some people have received letters back from their MPs essentially telling them safe standing isn't remotely important and to stop wasting their time.

Hope this helps.

I would strongly recommend you not going to any meetings where United fans are. As well as being a @#%&! who has sided with Glazer, you're also a thief. You may not answer any questions regarding the banner you stole on here but in a pub, you'll probably get a well deserved kicking for it.

Yep. Any players we sign (stop laughing) will be on credit too. £#%&!ing sickening. Before those @#%&!s took over, the club were planning on re-developing the South Stand with the profits we generated. Now we'll be buying second rate shite on the never never. £#%&!ing grim

David Gill, Manchester United's chief executive, has promised potential investors in a £500m bond scheme that the club will continue to increase match-day revenues and reassured them that the manager Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to stay on in some capacity after he retires.
The club plan to continue to boost revenues by widening the range of "match-day experiences" on offer at Old Trafford and aggressively target potential overseas sponsors.
Speaking to possible investors at a roadshow event in Edinburgh yesterday, Manchester United executives said they would limit further price rises for general match-day tickets to the rate of inflation. But they plan to reduce the number of ordinary tickets available in favour of new "sports-bar packages" that guarantee purchasers drinks, snacks and a premium seat.
So there go the cheap seats (£30 isn't that cheap obv). If you have a season ticket, great. If you were hoping to take your kids to United when they are old enough, not great. We all knew this was coming, it's a small price to pay to be able to see the West Brom game 4 years ago.
