Is correct. Football has always had, and will no doubt continue to have, rules in place to regulate the movement of players, particularly in regards to participation in its competitions, as I said.

MPs also get paid for every letter they address, so its in their financial interests to reply.
The problems you have are when it comes to passing motions and needing support from a majority of MP's.

It is worth noting that Platini's sentiments, as presented in borsuk's letter, regarding the protection of the football as part of the local community model have also been aired by none other than Mr S Blatter from time to time in recent years. No links, but I've heard or read him mentioning the same a fair few times.

My MP also asked a question in the house about it and has attended meetings too. If you look at the safe standing campaign, some people have received letters back from their MPs essentially telling them safe standing isn't remotely important and to stop wasting their time.

David Gill, Manchester United's chief executive, has promised potential investors in a £500m bond scheme that the club will continue to increase match-day revenues and reassured them that the manager Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to stay on in some capacity after he retires.

But they plan to reduce the number of ordinary tickets available in favour of new "sports-bar packages" that guarantee purchasers drinks, snacks and a premium seat.

So there go the cheap seats (£30 isn't that cheap obv). If you have a season ticket, great. If you were hoping to take your kids to United when they are old enough, not great. We all knew this was coming, it's a small price to pay to be able to see the West Brom game 4 years ago.
