Daley Blind

Always rated him, tbh.

That tackle 2 nd half like Moore on pele. Easily the best passer of the ball we have can count on one hand mistakes he's made since being at Utd top player has reinvented himself at centre half and has never looked out of place in my eyes.

What's great about the back four today is that all four of them are comfortable on the ball, bringing it out at pace and picking out an accurate pass to the players (on the same team) in front of them.

I know Mike is also considered to be comfortable bringing the ball out, but putting him in and taking Blind out wouldn't add anything defensively given the way Blind played today, and would detract from our pace and accuracy coming forward.

Would really like to see today's back line given the chance to settle and develop as a unit.

Buy a decent centre half and play him where Carrick plays in front of the defence. His position and where LVG probably bought him to play.

Good to see balls go into the box and be confident Bailly will clear up and will latch on to any big centre forwards whilst Blind can stand there, looking handsome, and passing the ball out

what will help cement his position more than anything is that we now have a 6' 3" midfielder and attacker to help out at corners and set pieces (and fellani)

I think bailly looks the real deal, but he will pick up a lot of yellows so smalling needs regular games to keep match fit

there's no reason to change his starting position at all. the trick is to ensure there are footballers around him. hope to see shaw stay fit and learn how to cover behind blind. also hope to see schneiderlin develop...

we are still short of the player that can get up and down the left touchline unless the plan is to carry on wasting martial dropping deep out there.
