TBF the clamour to award him the title of - Best manager who has never won anything - says more about the absolute knownowt media than his abilities as a coach. Improving on Tim Sherwood is hardly the dizzy heights, but according to the #@&%!s, it is.

Spurs, for a club of its size, are doing no better than should be expected and in the event of a couple of departures, Erikson and Kane, will be right up there with Burnley and co.

Not sure that can be in dispute. Pretty sure a team like spurs should be able to win the Carabao cup.
Do they ever go for the League Cup? And does it really matter? If he’d beaten a no-mark side in the final would people be holding it up as proof of their progress?

I’d argue them beating Real Madrid, United etc and reaching a point where they are disappointed with top four is clearer proof of their progress. Spurs are better now than they had been in decades, despite low transfer expenditure and a tight wage budget.

Its a trophy, and winning it in 2006 did United no harm at all.

Spurs won it a couple of years after that. Was a real springboard iirc.

I think he/they could do with a trophy. But it doesn't signify their progress like their league performance.

The fact that Spurs are seen to have 'bottled it' by losing to us at Wembley is testament to something, anyway...

Cheers, mate. Definitely felt a good one.

Getting our kicks from looking down at Spurs, rather than up at City. Is this United?

And they’ve finished 2nd and 3rd in the last two seasons but are likely to only get 4th this. Not sure what that says re their progress other than a lack of it.

Saturday from united was a result and performance not untypical of Fergie in a semi final and he was all over the benefit of getting your first trophy, however meaningless it’s more widely perceived. It keeps you relevant, releases pressure on the manager and above all breeds a winning mentality. Poch badly needs to find the last bit.

Clearly you haven’t heard about his win percentage...

More about looking down on you and the media luvvies m8.

Dier. Alli. Two decent signings. The rest are all pretty meh.

Spent 30mil on Sissoko. Shite. Do not give this man any more money, Levy!

Inherited his best players.

Bonus fact: Eriksen was born in Middlefart.

Remember during the glory days of Fergie when it annoyed us that the team in 4th place's manager got some praise?

Smalltime mentality needs to end imo. Way too insecure. Becoming a reflection of the boss.

Yep. Fergie's response to Chelsea was to create his best squad ever.

Not whine and say they spend too much money or get too many points

Ironically, Jose has nothing but love for meek Mo.

But we have to ask ourselves, who made Pochettino an issue? Myth makers, masquerading as straight talkers.

These are the consequences.

Wriggle wriggle.
