It was Anelka, Grimson.

If that was Rooney taken out by Howard there would be blood on here if he wasn't sent off, let alone a pen not given!

It was a penalty, Anelka just played it spot on, it's no different to a 'keeper missing the ball with his hands when he comes out & the striker gets there first. Howard knew as well, hence why he rolled around on the floor.

There's a big difference to that.

Howard isn't moving. He's stood rock still. The reason for contact is Anelka running into him.

He came running straight out at him

It was a pen.

howard was set and in a perfectly legal position before anelka ran into him. what was he supposed to do, jump out of the way?

jagielka was in the middle already, anelka realised he'd £#%&!ed up and wasn't going to get around howard and back to the ball. should have been booked for a deliberate foul.

Anelka made the contact with Howard.

What was Howard meant to do, take a side step to the right so Anelka could run onto his bad touch?

Nope. He didn't. You'll feel a bit silly when you see a replay if that's the basis of your argument. He came a few steps off his line and STOPPED. He wasn't moving at all when Anelka crashed into him.

I agree with you that Anelka played it perfectly, because he basically made the ref give them foul. But it wasn't one.

Fulham were all over Arsenal towards the end of the 2nd half and coulda scored another couple apparently.

We really better beat these next week, their away record has been good due to them getting a lot of luck in games, has to end next Monday.

Arsenal have conceded more goals than United and Chelsea have done combined.

Kamara was clean in on goal and hit it right at Fabianski.

At least I think it was Kamara, could have been Pantsil.

I'll say it again, if that was Rooney, or Berbatov, or Mushy or even that little peasant Owen pushing it past Howard & it wasn't given, everyone on here would have thrown up on the spot & proceeded to create RAWKesque conspiracy theories.

Anelka just did what any striker would have, the ref had no choice imo.
