Shouldn't have any punishment though. Benitez et al say far worse and get away with it. |

Re: Fergie at FA today
Absurd decision really. Victory for the media but enforcing the respect campaign by gagging managers is surely counter productive.
Fergie was foolish to say what he did, not because it was untrue( it was, irrespective of the stats that they released) but because of the reaction that was likely to happen. He has been punished both on and off the pitch for the comments. |

The Commission noted Mr Benitez's previous exemplary disciplinary record over 23 years as a coach and manager at the highest level of the sport. Taking into account all relevant factors, the Commission concluded that the appropriate penalty was to warn Mr Benitez as to his future conduct with regards to interviews and press briefings. |

Fergie did not call Wiley a cheat, insinuate he was biased or that he was an influence on the result. Anyone else remember Fergie saying that Wiley was telling our players, specifically Rooney that he was shattered when he was taking an age to book Richardson and co? A comment that unsurprisingly has been completely ignored in the aftermath. |

Re: Fergie at FA today
His stats in the game about running further than a lot of the players are pointless.
He ran a little over 11K in 96 mins, any semi fit man could beat that, It would only take a very slow jog to get that distance in that time. Players have to cover ground at a much more explosive and gruelling rate, constant sprints and high intensity runs. |
