I think he has a lot of ability.


Still raw, of course, but he has tremendous pace, he's very good on the ball, and can pick a pass, too. Hoping he gets a good chance next season.

Obertan has looked like a deer in the headlights on most of his outings with the first team thus far.

Played poorly against Leeds, and didn't play again until Everton away where he came on as a sub, by my reckoning?

Yep. His displays against both Leeds and Everton were atrocious. Given that he clearly has ability, that is not especially heartening

fairly typical treatment for obertan so far. fergie gives young players a taster of a game or two off the bench and then puts them in the reserves for a while. plenty of time for the lad but he'll need to learn the united system and reach his physical targets this year. next year he'll get more chances and we'll have an idea if he's got a chance. certainly got the talent though.
