Question Eric Steele

Not sure if any Fredsters have noticed/mentioned this but...

Why is it that our goalkeeping coach is the one giving instructions out these days?

Where are Phelan & Rene?

rene and phelan have probably fallen out of favour or saf is using steele to make the other two jealous.

saf probably has bjs on tap at carrington.

Yeah, obviously because Dave is still learning the language.

He's getting stuck into the players now for mistakes etc, which is g2c

Opponent keepers weak spots?

Still can't get over Tony V's shot at the end of the Chelsea game :shakehead:

it's because he's the only one of our staff who is actually competent

months before de gea signed eric was taking spanish lessons

the whole time before van persie signed mike phelan was doing robert de niro impressions in his mirror because he's a @#%&! and thinks he's getting the big chair when faggie leaves

Not been the same since Norman Davies left tbh. Him and Jim McGregor had that back room working like clockwork

He obviously thinks that Cech has a weak spot about 20 yards outside his right post then and he's probably right tbf.

Maybe he could do his £#%&!ing job and get DDG on his toes instead of going for things with his feet all the time.

I used to think those two things were related, but I don't anymore. He's on his toes (see the save from the Torres header) - he just uses his feet a lot too. I don't much like it, but it works. The Luiz free kick for example - most keepers would go for that the traditional way, and because of the movement, would just push it right back in front of goal (as Mannone did against Norwich for the winning goal). Big Dave just boots it 40 yards away.
