If anybody puts Fellaini in their team, they deserve to be hounded off the forum.

would play Fletcher. Cant see RVP busting a gut to be fit with the World Cup on the horizon for him.

+1 he was basically the only reason they were in anyway troubled. Without him it would've been brutal.

Thumbs up

Good thread silv. Only game of consequence left this season, good to have it up early.

On that performance I'd play buttner instead of evra .
Pat hasn't been too clever of late .

RVP would be a big boost but cant see it.

May see a defensive line up for the first half then go for it? £#%&! knows

buttner has the legs to cope with robben; i suspect evra would have been off the pace tonight.

this side acquitted themselves well and it's perhaps worth sticking with them for for the second leg, but with kagawa in from the start. the temptation is to drop fellaini in favour of someone like cleverley who might retain possession better, but whilst fellaini is something of a car crash bayern still didn't quite know what to make of him. there is something in that, at least.

Assuming RVP won't be fit I would go with

De Gea

Rafael Jones Vidic Buttner

Carrick Fellaini Kagawa

Young Rooney Wellbeck

Would obviously rather have Nani than Young but will have to hold judgement to see if/how he plays between now and then. If there is the slightest chance RVP is fit then he goes centre and Rooney to the right with neither Young or Nani starting.

I suspect fletcher may start, add some 'steel' to the centre. carrick, giggs and celverley is depressing.
