I thought that was for the world player those 3 were shortlisted for.

Anyway, suprised as I thought Messi would win it.

Probably both mate. Obviously would of been happier if Ronnie had won it, but Kaka's performances in the champions league make him a worthy winner.

Ah well..

2 games against a makeshift United defence>>>a whole season of real consistency and guiding United to the premier league title.

Why? He had quite a few injuries last season, and took some time recovering from it as we saw in his performances against the Murderers.

If Barca win something big and he stays fit then surely he will win it next year.

I dont care anyway, and im sure Ronaldo feels that the team winnnig stuff is more important than personal honours no matter how much he deserved this.

You can see which journalists voted for who

Henry winter put Maldini first. , Put Ronnie 4th. no surprise there, £#%&!ing ABU.

Could it be that Winter put Maldini because he ridiculously hasn't ever won it?

How can you think Messi would win it? He was injured at the start of the year and as soon as he came back he was knocked out of the CL. So playing 1 game in the latter stages of the Champions league isn't great for your corner, added to that not winning a trophy and only scoring 8 goals in the year.

Or were you just plumping for a random player?

Milan a small time club ffs. This was Kaka's year, Ronaldo and Messi will both win it in their careers.

notice how Ronaldo is only the second Portugese player to even be featured in the top 3.

Hardly a footballing supernation eh Legendary? I put them on the same peddlestool as Uruguay, but without winning a world cup.
