He's done alright for himself i would say and has the chance to win more with Milan.

He's a great football player and we wouldnt have won titles without him. I tend to not believe EVERYTHING i read about him.

I have a lot of Respect for the guy. wish him luck.

I know he isnt a 'Ryan giggs' but why should the man be slated for Moving abroad and trying to prove himself in other countries.

He's not a bad egg and a very decent player. STILL.

Agree with that.

Never really understood why some United fans are so intent on slagging him. He has never criticised the club once and is constantly making complimentary comments about his time at our place.

Top red.

I think it's a bit of shitty thing he's done tbh. He could easily have stayed in Europe but willingly took the US dollar and committed himself to Galaxy long-term with a 5 year contract. Surprising decision but I had no problem with that. New England management comes in and he wants off to somewhere he's playing competitive games again. If I were Galaxy management, I'd feel mightily pissed off with him.

How many footballers are a 'One club man' nowadays....?

Not many. That's football really and what he may have done to Galaxy is nothing new.

Its how it is now, £#%&! at first i thought he had just signed for Madrid to sell shirts.

(incidentally did La liga on Sky sports start because he went there? dont remeber seeing it before then)

He spent the whole time at Real battling to get in their side, he convinced different managers twice to re select him through commitment and displays on the pitch and second time drove them to the title.

Are you trying to show Zidane up here? It's certainly not Beckham that looks out of place.

In fact are you trying to list Beckhams trophies as a stick to beat him with?

7 league titles
1 CL
2 FA cups

Zidane

3 league titles
1 CL
1 World Cup
1 Euros

I know, amazing isn't it?

I'll always appreciate what he did for us, especially in 1999, but also acknowledge that Ole deserved his place when Beckham left, because Inger-lund had become a bigger part of Beckham's life.

I'm not particularly arsed about Liar 23 bile many spouted or any of that rubbish but you can't miss that much of his life in the last 10 years has been given a spectacular PR spin. he's got away with much of it as he's still a good player. But if he succeeds in getting to Milan, it'll just expose the spin for what it was.

I know. As I pointed out, he's still a good player. But it's difficult to reconcile his joining Milan with what he said on joining MLS, especially as Milan were one team he turned down.

Quote:
"After considering several options to stay in Madrid or join other major British and European teams, I have decided to join LA Galaxy."

"I am proud to have played for two of the biggest clubs in football and I look forward to the new challenge of growing the world's most popular game in a country that is as passionate about its sport as my own.

He added on Sky Sports News: 'Soccer in America is the biggest played sport up to a certain age. That's where I want to take it (football in the USA) to another level.

'I think potentially it (football) can go higher in America than anyone can believe.

'There are so many great sports in the USA. There are so many kids playing American Football and basketball. Soccer is huge all around the world except in America and that's where I want to make a difference with the kids.

'I don't want to go out to America at 34 and people saying `he's only there to get the money'. I want to hopefully build a club and team that have a lot of potential and that excites me.'

You can hardly blame him for saying that, it's what he had to say given the decision he made. My guess is that even though there was interest from Milan and other big clubs before he went to MLS, he thought he'd end up on the bench. He has probably surprised himself with how well he's done at Milan, especially considering his performances in MLS were, for the most part, poor.

No matter what side of the fence youre on about Beckham.

Id say hes taken the piss right out of LA Galaxy here. Its almost cowardly publicly announcing he wants to stay while hes half way across the world from the club who pay his wages.

Bad form imo.
