We lost 3 games out of 24 before we signed him and lost 4 in 14 after, we scored a goal every 44 minutes without him and a goal every 66 minutes with him, and we wonder why Martial has seen his arse.

Maybe Mkhitaryan wasn't mentally strong enough, but statistically our goal output would be better with him and Martial than it is with Alexis and whoever plays square peg in the right side hole.
If you are using stats it’s reasonable to point out Mourinho teams always score more goals in the 1st half of the season. Alexis was poor for us but it is ridiculous to blame him for the drop in goals scored. Unlike Martial Alexis does have fantastic numbers that show he does have the ability & consistency to score & create in this league. He scored a goal every 2nd game at Arsenal, that’s outstanding given he played wide more often than not, he has a goal every 3 games for Chile which is also excellent. Martial on the other hand 😳
Maybe it’s the Jose affect, but he is a far better player than we have seen so far & to write him off so quickly is mind boggling

Doesn’t Martial have the best goals to minutes ratio of all the forwards at OT atm?

The most worrying part about Sanchez is not, for me, that he gives the ball away so much or his inconsistency. Those are traits of many of the great attacking wide players, see Giggs for an example, to create means taking risks. Mata keeps a high passing % but has rarely been a creative force for Utd. What is an issue is that it appears Sanchez has lost some of his 1 v 1 ability, dropped in pace and rarely threatens to take a man on. That makes him predictable and directly contributes to him giving the ball away.

Hazard came on for Chelsea yesterday and immediately was driving at defenders and forcing them to scramble. Helped to pin Arsenal back and kill their threat because they were terrified of Hazard getting isolated against a defender. Utd need that type of threat from someone, it opens the game up, Sanchez has not provided it.
