Agreed. Can someone clarify it is judged on last season and then the world cup?

If so, even I would admit that however fat and shit Rooney is, he should have been on the list. When was the last time someone scored 30+ goals in one of Europe's major leagues and wasn't shortlisted?

Well deserved.

Xavi and Iniesta are both brilliant but as they combined to ruin the World Cup, they can get £#%&!ed.

Hard to complain after the year he's had with Barcelona. Wasn't even that bad at the World Cup, just unlucky every shot of his hit the crossbar or post

I'm disappointed Xavi didn't win it though.
